Logistics and Installations

Led from Midrand by Mandla van Rensburg

FlatPress is led by Mandla van Rensburg, with the business supplying flat heat presses, setup and support to South African garment decorators. His approach is straightforward: give customers the right press advice, set machines up properly, and make sure help is available when production is under pressure. He knows that in South African print rooms, downtime costs money, especially when orders are due and load-shedding has already eaten into the day.

Mandla works closely with the team to keep the service side tight, whether that means advising on a new setup, arranging a loan unit, or making sure a repair is handled without unnecessary delays. He is also the person who keeps the business grounded in real customer needs rather than guesswork.

  • Focused on flat heat press sales and support
  • Works with small decorators and larger print shops
  • Keeps the Midrand base aligned to national service needs

Sales and customer guidance with Ntombifuthi Xaba

Ntombifuthi Xaba is the Sales Consultant customers often speak to first. She helps new buyers compare press sizes, power needs and production volumes, so they do not end up with a machine that is too small or more complex than their work calls for. For a hobbyist in Pretoria or a growing shop in Durban, that kind of guidance saves time and money.

She also helps customers understand what is included with setup, what spare parts may be worth keeping on hand, and when it makes sense to book training. Ntombifuthi is calm, practical and very good at matching the right machine to the right workload.

  • Helps with new press selection and setup questions
  • Explains size, pressure and temperature requirements
  • Supports customers from enquiry through to handover

Technical problem solving with Riaan Ferreira

Riaan Ferreira is FlatPress technical manager, and he deals with the kind of issues that can stop a press from performing properly. He checks temperature accuracy, pressure consistency, controller faults, element problems and general wear that builds up over time. If a machine is not heating evenly or is giving inconsistent results, Riaan is usually the person tracing the cause.

He understands the realities of workshop life in South Africa, including power interruptions, coastal humidity and heavy daily use. That means his technical decisions are not just about fixing a fault, but about making the machine more dependable for the next shift.

  • Temperature checks and pressure adjustments
  • Element replacements and controller repairs
  • Preventive servicing to reduce unexpected downtime

Training that helps operators work faster and cleaner with Kelebogile Mabena

Kelebogile Mabena is FlatPress training coordinator, and she makes sure operators know how to use their equipment properly from the start. Good training matters because a heat press can only perform well if the operator understands timing, pressure, garment preparation and the behaviour of different transfers. One wrong setting can waste shirts and slow the whole job down.

She works with new owners, staff members and even experienced users who want a refresher after changing media or production methods. Kelebogile keeps training practical, hands on and relevant to real work conditions, not just theory.

  • Operator training for new and existing staff
  • Setup guidance for T-shirt and transfer work
  • Helpful for shops in Midrand, Johannesburg, Pretoria and beyond

Workshop support and spares from Ridwaan Peters and Nandi Dlamini

Ridwaan Peters is the workshop technician who handles repairs, servicing and replacement work with care. From pad and covering changes to pneumatic line service and loan unit preparation, he keeps equipment moving through the workshop without unnecessary hold ups. He knows that a small fault can become a much bigger problem if it is left too long.

Nandi Dlamini leads customer support and keeps communication steady while work is in progress. She helps customers understand what has been booked in, what spares are needed, and how to plan around service timing. That sort of follow through makes a big difference when a shop is trying to meet deadlines and cannot afford surprises.

  • Loan unit support where available
  • Spares supply for wear items and repair work
  • Clear updates for customers waiting on servicing

Installations and deliveries handled by Willem Botha

Willem Botha manages logistics and installations, which means he is often the person making sure the right machine arrives on site and is positioned correctly. He works across Gauteng and nationwide by courier, helping customers in places like East Rand, West Rand, Cape Town, Bloemfontein and Durban get the press they ordered without avoidable damage or delay.

He also supports on site setup where required, including placement, basic checks and making sure the machine is ready for the operator handover. Willem is practical about access, stairways, loading bays and the real conditions of South African workshops, not every site is simple and thats where planning matters most.

  • Midrand base with national supply by courier
  • Installation support for local customers where needed
  • Careful handling for equipment travelling long distances
